Track Name: Mad to Live
It's always the saddest days, when you're choked by the evergreen air,
Build houses from broken ships, so we can't see what else is out there.

Oh when you can't find, which road you're on,
We're hoping and praying, til all hope is gone.
Packing your satchel, put your faith in a girl,
Cuz where you are going, it is you against the world.

The trap of convention is the smoke that expels from within,
Listless depression is the deepest and darkest of sins.
So tear it apart, send a note to the stars,
Embrace the sound, don't believe, you're exactly who they say you are.

I don't believe in the night, but I swear by the breaking of day.
There's too many sunsets left to forgive.
I still believe in a word that explodes like a candle of stars,
I need this to remind me to be mad to live.
Oh please remind me to be mad to live.
Track Name: Your Blood Moon
This place here seems familiar, I swear I've been here before.
I came here to undo the damage, to cover up these open sores.
This is a habit we are forming, and it returns each night and day.
We are running out of limbs and we are running out of things to say.

But I can't leave now when you're still around, because we've got nothing but time.
By the light inside I can tell it's time to go but I go running back,
To wherever your blood moon shines.

I put a picture of you on my wall, I thought it'd help to ease my wind.
I put it right next to my crucifix, I shift my gaze in hopes to find,
About faith and love from God above and what we're doing here for.
But when it's God that starts to answer, that's when I reach for the door.

But I can't leave now when you're still around, because we've got nothing but time.
By the light inside I can tell it's time to go but I go running back...
No I can't leave now, this place has got me shackled and there's nothing left to find.
Maybe next time around when they release me again I will go running back,
Yeah I'l come crawling back,
To wherever your blood moon shines.
Track Name: Reckless Abandonment
Its when I look back, to when I was 19, dragging tattered gear through freshly fallen snow,
I just wish then, someone had stopped me, and told me "son this is as far as you will go."
Then I could try and hide, in different places, find a different way to vent.
But if that's too late, I'll approach this with,
Reckless abandon or abandonment.

All those nights in basement bars where, I pretended there was just no way but up.
Seemed to leave me, dark and empty, colder and blacker than the next day's coffee cup.
Well, I've tried to hard, hoping someday all of you will come around,
And intently lean, open up yours ears and hear this worn out sound.
Hey, how are you dealing with this self-inflicted punishment?
One of two ways, to approach this,
Reckless abandon or abandonment.

Same damn venue, same damn city, falling back in old routines.
Can't stop drinking, can't stop smoking and I blame it al upon this damaged scene.
I don't know why, we decide to leave the tattered gear behind.
Pack your pity, and you get behind the wheel and start to drive.
Hey how are you, gonna move ahead when all this gas is spent?
Walk hard or lie down and approach this with,
Reckless abandon or abandonment.
